Plans to build 336 housing units in Fermoy have gone before An Bord Pleanála.
The site, planned to be developed by Cumnor Construction Ltd., is an 11.75 hectare area in the townland of Coolcarron, on the southside of the town.
Meanwhile, in Mitchelstown, there are plans for 51 housing units to be built on the site of the old Mart on George’s Street.
Considering the issues with the Wastewater Treatment Plant in the town, Cork Marts CEO Sean O’Sullivan described the plans as ‘aspirational’, but said that if circumstances change, the company would be eager to move on developing the site.
