Complaints about the length of the grass in some housing estates in Fermoy have raised questions about the schedule of cutting carried out by contractors for Cork County Council.
Community activist Joe Tobin sent in photos of grass in the Uplands Estate which he says has not been cut so far this year.
“It’s unsightly and kids can’t even go out and play football,” Mr Tobin said. “Why it has gotten to June without a cut I don’t understand. We’re being told it will be cut but it hasn’t been yet. It’s like silage now.”
