A number of local businesses have been announced as finalists at the upcoming Irish Hair and Beauty awards, with hair and nail experts, hair stylists and spa therapists representing businesses and individuals across the region.
MAKEUP AND NAILS
‘Savas Beauty’, with premises in both Watergrasshill and Rathcormac, is nominated in two categories, ‘Beauty Salon of the Year’ and ‘Local Salon of the Year’.
In the ‘Best of Cork’ award, two Mallow-based businesses are nominated: ‘Nail Bar By Eva’ and ‘The Serenity Suite’ at the Hibernian Hotel. Fermoy’s ‘N&B Salon’ are also nominated for the ‘Best of Cork’ award.
The N&B Salon has also been nominated for the ‘Nail Salon of the Year’ award as well, and Edita Padirvinskaite from salon is up for the ‘Beautician of the Year’ award. Mallow’s ‘Nail Bar by Eva’ has also been nominated for the ‘Nail Salon of the Year’.
Mitchelstown-based business ‘Makeup and Brows by Triona’ is up for the ‘Makeup Specialist of the Year’ award, while in ‘Bridal Hair and Make-Up Specialist of the Year’, Glanworth’s Helena Kennerley is nominated.
‘All About Gorgeous’, based in Mallow, is nominated for an award in the ‘Make Up Salon of the Year’ category.
SPA
‘The Serenity Suite’ and ‘Lily Love’, both based in Mallow, are both nominated for the ‘Masseuse of the Year’. ‘The Serenity Suite’ has also been nominated for the ‘Spa of the Year’.
HAIR
‘V Hair Design’ in Clogheen is nominated for the ‘Best Customer Experience’. In the category of ‘Most Wanted Salon of the Year’, Kilworth’s ‘Ger Hennessy Hair Studio’ has been nominated, as has Midleton’s ‘Hair by TayTay.’
‘V Hair Design’ in Clogheen has also been nominated for ‘Hair Salon of the Year’, and will be competing against other businesses, including Midleton’s ‘Hair by TayTay’.
For ‘Colour Technician of the Year’, Ciara Beary of ‘Hair Design’ has been nominated, as has Mitchelstown-based business, ‘Bespoke Hair’.
Finally, in the category of ‘Hair Extensions Specialist of the Year’ is nominee ‘LA Hair’, based in Fermoy.
The awards take place on 24th September in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cork, with the ‘Fourth Chapter’ finalists of Limerick, Tipperary, Cork, Waterford and Kerry announced on Monday this week.
