Due to Covid-19 concerns, Mass didn’t take place at St Michael’s Well in Ballyduff Upper, Co Waterford this year.

Instead, devotees of the saint, gathered on the eve of his feast day (September 29) for private prayers and reflection.

It was a fine, if somewhat cool evening and as always the environs of the well, situated on the Waterford/Cork border, looked resplendent.
