Last Bra Standing – Fundraiser set to bring fun and awareness to ‘Town

Attending the launch of ‘Last Bra Standing’ as part of The Pink Ladies & Friends Tractor Run in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) were, l-r: Ted Brennan, Tom Casey, Kevin Casey and Noelle Luddy. The fundraiser takes place in the Yard Bar on Friday, 4th October from 9pm, with MC Denis Motherway.

As part of The Pink Ladies and Friends Tractor Run for breast cancer research in Mitchelstown on Sunday, 5th October, the group will also host a unique and light-hearted fundraising event ‘Last Bra Standing’ at The Yard Bar the same weekend.

The event on Saturday 4th will see contestants test their speed as they race to remove bras from 15 participants. To keep it fun and family-friendly, the bras will be worn over clothing, with popular MC Denis Motherway keeping the evening running smoothly.

Doors open at 9pm, with an evening promised to be full of entertainment, laughter and surprises. The eventual winner will be crowned with a special bra crown and seated on a specially commissioned throne.

All proceeds raised will go to support the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI), based at the Lambe Institute, University of Galway, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month during October.

For those unable to attend the event, donations can be made via the Pink Ladies and Friends Tractor Run fundraising page at www.iDonate.ie. Donations can also be made to the ‘Pink Ladies & Friends’ account at Mitchelstown Credit Union.
