People arrived in large numbers from far and near last Sunday to remember Volunteer Michael Rouse at The Monument Cross, Ballylough on the 100th anniversary of his death.
Michael was fittingly remembered at a very well organised and dignified commemoration.
As the crowds assembled, they were treated to an array of traditional tunes provided by musicians Denis O’Dwyer, Bobby Gardiner and Liam Roche. Proceedings were in the extremely capable hands of MC Mary O’Callaghan who then got the event under way …
