Mitchelstown’s Kingston College will be a hive of activity come July, as news broke this week that ‘DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland’ will be filming and collaborating with locals to renovate six of the houses in the college.

The “mammoth endeavour” will be happening from July 5th to the 14th at the college in Kings Square, where presenter Baz Ashmawy will be ‘rallying the troops’ to renovate and re-fit six houses to provide much-needed temporary accommodation for those displaced from the war in Ukraine.

Speaking on behalf of the Kingston Trust, secretary Billy Skuse said the group were “delighted” with the news.
