Kilworth Festival 2024 is off to a flying start and there’s still plenty to come. First up was a bank holiday Monday car treasure hunt, that attracted a huge entry. Treasure hunters were led a merry dance by organisers, with the object of the exercise being to solve a series of carefully crafted clues. Results were announced in The Village Inn.

MARQUEE BINGO

The gigantic marquee erected on the grounds of Kilworth GAA was just big enough to accommodate the almost 400 strong crowd who turned up for last Tuesday night’s bingo. With no formal training required, bingo is accessible to everyone and this was reflected in the ‘9 to 90’ age group who attended.

IMPRESSIVE MARQUEE

The marquee, located on the club’s second pitch, is an impressive structure – complete with lighting, stage and wooden floor. The expectation is, it will be close to full again for forthcoming events such as ‘The Show’ (sold out) on Friday, 9th August and ‘Abbaesque’ on Saturday, 10th August – this is a strictly over 18s event.
