Kildorrery crowned in the Anti-Litter League

The hard work of the people of Kildorrery has been recognised by Cork County Council this month as they emerged from the 2023 Anti-Litter Awards the overall winners of the County Final in the ‘large villages’ category.

They beat 28 other large villages across the county for the honour, and were the only town or village across the region to come home with a prize.

Furthermore, as Conor Maguire, vice-chair of Kildorrery’s volunteer clean-up crew, tells The Avondhu, Kildorrery was judged, right after their Festival in July and so, the victory is even sweeter.
