Jamie Murray was born 3 years ago with very profound brain difficulties. It has been far from plain sailing since then, however, Jamie is a very lucky boy to have exceptionally loving parents, Helena and Mark and 2 action men brothers, Jack (9) and Lucas (5). He also has excellent carers in Jen and Angela. Additional support has come from extended family, staff at Cork University Hospital and everyone in St. Joseph's Foundation, Charleville.

While we all find a reason to moan about some physical complaint or other, Jamie Murray's daily challenge is to keep breathing. With little or no head control, the danger of choking is ever present. The outstanding care he receives at home, the expertise of surgeons and his own fighting spirit have kept Jamie going. No stranger to the ER, Jamie has undergone a remarkable 8 brain operations.
