Increased opening hours have been confirmed at the Credit Union in Doneraile, as locals continue to come to terms with the imminent closure of their post office.
Tomas O’Neill, CEO of Mallow Credit Union, confirmed to The Avondhu that the Doneraile branch will now open on Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm in the coming weeks. Previously only opening on a Thursday morning, the new additional opening hours will offer greater services to locals, allowing existing and new customers to continue banking locally.
“We have decided to open from 10am to 1pm on Tuesdays for the coming weeks and gauge response from there. People can open new accounts at the branch, but will need to bring their ID and proof of address. More information can be found on Mallow Credit Union’s website. We can also provide current accounts and debit cards,” Mr O’Neill said.
