100 years to the day Thomas Kent and his brothers were embroiled in a shoot-out with members of the Royal Irish Constabulary in Bawnard House, Castlelyons, hundreds of people took to the streets in Fermoy on Monday to honour the men and women who fought and died for Irish freedom in 1916.
