It is hoped that a revitalised Fermoy Forum will come to pass in 2025, as the group has been ‘placed into hibernation’ having faced a number of challenges.
Fermoy Forum, a voluntary organisation that works in partnership with local business, community groups and the municipal authority to develop Fermoy town, has met several challenges which have made sustaining operations difficult in the short term.
Despite the difficulties faced, there are ‘tentative’ plans to reassess the viability of Fermoy Forum in 2025.
Launched in 2016, the organisation has served as a vital platform for the local business community, championing initiatives such as traffic management, promoting Fermoy as a tourist destination, and supporting local businesses.
