On Thursday 21st July at 7.30pm (note time), the Inclusive Theatre Drama Group present ‘The High School Robbery’ which is not just a musical, it’s a chilling adventure, a show with singing, dancing and drawing for the way we perform today.
Devised by the St Joseph’s Foundation, Charleville drama group with a supporting cast of Footsteps Youth Theatre, this is going to be a great night for everyone, but look out! The robbers are framing someone, who is going to help the drama students?
Queen Elsa comes to the rescue and Troy Bolton saves the day! The robbers won’t steal the show but some of our special actors might. Director – Fiona Quinn, the show is supported by the Dormant Account Fund. Tickets €5.
Frank O’Connor’s ‘God Bless the Child’
On Wednesday, 27th July at 8pm, Friars’ Gate hosts ‘God Bless the Child’, a play based on the stories of Frank O’Connor, marking the 50th Anniversary of his death.
Three of the funniest: ‘First Confession’, ‘My Oedipus Complex’ and ‘The Genius’ have been brought together within a single full-length play, which provides a hugely entertaining and uplifting night of theatre.
Meet young Michael, who goes into mortal combat with his father when he returns from the First World War; Larry, a genius who can’t understand why the world can’t keep up with him, and Jackie who has the grim task of not only making his first confession and communion, but must also deal with his very obstreperous grandmother.
