Graffiti in Fermoy ‘a disgrace’ say locals

The graffiti sprayed on a wall at the corner of Redmond Street and Emmet Street, Fermoy.

Many people living on in Fermoy were shocked when they woke on Friday morning to see abusive words against the An Garda Siochána spray-painted onto the wall of a former restaurant at the intersection between Emmett Street and John Redmond Street. 

The graffiti named two members of An Garda Siochána and referred to the Drugs Squad. It is understood that there were three individuals involved in the malicious act and Gardaí have confirmed that investigations are ongoing. 

“It’s a disgrace,” a local person told The Avondhu.
