Horgan’s Delicatessen Supplies in Mitchelstown have once again won the Gold Award for their Spiced Beef at the Blas Na hÉireann National Irish Food Awards held in Dingle on Saturday last.

Managing Director Michael Horgan, said he was ‘absolutely delighted’ with the win.

SIGNIFICANT

Winning a Gold Award at such a prestigious competition as Blas Na hÉireann is significant for Horgan’s. In addition, Horgan’s received the Silver Award for their Boneless Honey Baked Ham.

Horgan’s Spiced Beef has been developed using the finest quality Irish beef from selected producers with full traceability.

“We pride ourselves on providing the highest possible quality products with a quality service to the retail and catering trade throughout the Island of Ireland,” Michael told The Avondhu.

Derived from a family recipe dating all the way back to 1921, Horgan’s uses the highest quality ingredients in the production of their Silverside Spiced Beef.

The beef is aged for a minimum of 14 days prior to being lightly salted and marinated in a secret blend of spices.

It is then cooked with a coating of herbs and spices giving it an aromatic spicy flavour which is tantalising to the taste buds.

A premium product suitable for all retail shops, catering outlets and home catering, it can be purchased online through their website www.horgans.com and is available to order for Christmas.

Due to popular demand, Horgan’s will soon launch their Spiced Beef in Pre-Packed Sliced format.
