The upcoming Campa Gaeilge in Glenroe is now fully booked, as there was a huge demand for places from children in Glenroe and further afield.

The teachers and parents have been busy preparing for the camp, which takes place from April 2-4 each day from 10.30am until 2pm. The aim of the camp is to make Gaeilge fun and natural for the children, with a view to converting the national school into a Gaelscoil.

The camp will include sports, games, art, hip hop dancing, face painting, a monster quiz and it will all culminate with an Easter egg hunt on Thursday, where a special guest may come along.

While the camp is fully booked, names are being taken for a waiting list in case of cancellations and anyone interested can contact Helen on 087 2436972 or Nicola on 086 8275944.

LA NA GAEILGE

The school also held its second La na Gaeilge last week, where parents, grandparents and friends were entertained and enthralled by the younger students talking about Spring, while others put on hilarious acts and the audience were treated to a sneak preview of the camp. While the children also played some traditional music on the tin whistle and sang some songs.

Enrolments for September 2013 are currently being taken and if anyone would like more information on enrolment or plans for the Gaelscoil, please contact the school on 063 86080.
