Glencairn native wins bronze at WorldSkills Competition

22 year old Adam Flynn from Glencairn, Lismore brought home an esteemed bronze medal from the WorldSkills Competition which took place in Kazan, Russia.

Adam was one of the seventeen competitors on Team Ireland who managed to reach 10th in the world as a collective following the four day competition.

A past pupil of Blackwater Community School in Lismore, Adam always had a great interest in metalwork and with the encouragement of his teacher, he decided to undertake an apprenticeship with Dungarvan Precision Engineering . 

“I’ve gotten a brilliant training here. We take on nearly any job,” explained Adam.
