Letter floats from Leeds to Kildorrery in two days
Since Glanworth Tiny Tots was set up five years ago, Chairman Padraig Ó Muimeachain explains the type of things that the group have been up to. They have had a very informative workshop on sleep matters, a visit from Mike Walsh of Walsh’s Pharmacy, a few visits from the public health nurse, excellent chat and help from other mums/dads within the group. When funds allow we also go to Happy Days in Fermoy.
Glanworth Tiny Tots cater for all young children from birth to junior cycle, we especially welcome children with special needs. Children that come to Tiny Tots learn to share, make new friends and when they come in stuck to the parents arms we see the gradual process of coming in and running in joy (no more arms)!
Padraig explains that the vast array of toys, music, art, floor mats and even the occasional visit from Barney, Sponge Bob, Peppa Pig hasn’t been bringing people back to the group in recent months. With this in mind we extend our times for two hours 10am – 12 noon, we only ask in return a donation for rent and that cuppa.
“We have an open day on Friday, April 19 for parents and toddlers to come and see what is available to them from our hall for the energetic child to our carpeted smaller room for the colder mornings. Call in any time between 4-5.30pm and see we are normal parents just like you and me with children”, he says.
Glanworth Tiny Tots are in the community hall every Tuesday morning from 10am – 12 noon, drop in any time. Contact us on Facebook or Padraig on 087-2271153.
