Having reached the highest point of the Galty Mountains on Sunday last and safely descended, Mitchelstown woman, Gemma Coffey, hit her targets of climbing Croagh Patrick, the Galty Mountains and Ireland’s highest location, Currauntoohil in 3 days.

Raising a significant amount of money for three charities close to her heart over the May bank holiday weekend, Gemma took on these ‘3 peaks’ over three consecutive days in aid of Irish Cancer Society, Cork ARC House and the Breeda McGrath Fund. Following the challenge, she said the weekend had gone “so, so well”, with dry weather for all three climbs, although conditions on her final climb atop Galtee Mór were foggy.
