This Sunday after 11am Mass, the Kilbehenny Tidy Village Group will unveil the 1916 Garden of Remembrance.
The committee welcome everyone to come along for the unveiling and enjoy the refreshments afterwards.
The group members have been putting a lot of hard work into the planting and getting everything ready for the garden over the past two weeks.
April is also An Taisce’s spring clean month and as part of the initiative, the Kilbehenny Tidy Village Group will be cleaning an area of Galtee Wood and they are encouraging residents on different roads and in townlands, to get together and carry out a litter pick on the last week of April.
On Saturday, April 30 a community clean up will also take place, with those taking part asked to meet at the community centre on the day at 9.30am.
