Calls have been made for the immediate introduction of a CCTV system in Mitchelstown following a break-in to a store on the town’s main street.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning last (November 5) two men, using a sledgehammer, forced their way through the front door of Phone Fix at Lower Cork Street.
An eye witness said neighbours were shouting at the robbers from their upstairs windows after they were woken by the noise.
