A very successful and cost effective refuse collection service in Araglin is under threat because of the actions of a minority.
The service, which is operated by Mr Binman, allows people purchase customised bags for rubbish, which, in turn, are left for collection at a designated area (close to the local cemetery).
Unfortunately, increasing numbers of untagged (unpaid for) bags are being deposited in the collection bins. Due to the excellent record of locals up to this point, all bags left for collection are being accepted by Mr Binman, however, the company had said that 'the situation will be reviewed' if the unwelcome trend continues.
It's important to point out that only a small percentage are involved in this underhand practice and that the vast majority of householders are very responsible in how they manage their waste.
