Three adults and a child were rescued from a lift in Sutton's Court by the Mitchelstown Fire Brigade on Tuesday of this week, after they had been in the lift for 45 minutes.

There was no phone signal in the lift, but the trapped people managed to shout to someone outside the lift who alerted the fire brigade and, upon arrival, they got the people out within five minutes using a special key that allows them to access lifts.

Nobody was injured during the incident, but it is understood that the four people were getting distressed in the confined space.
