
Matthew Valentine, a para-athlete from Conna, is to again represent Ireland in Olympic Pistol competitions, this time in Novi Sad in Serbia.
Now living in Luxembourg where he works as a Senior Auditor with EY, Matthew will be shooting in the Grand Prix event in June and also the World Cup event in July.
Aged 25, the Conna native is a former pupil of Coláiste an Chraoibhín in Fermoy and a graduate of UCC Business School.
Taking up shooting last year in Luxembourg, Matthew has now set his sights on qualification for the Paralympics in Los Angeles in 2028, and hopes to represent his country as part of Team Ireland.
