It's always sensible to plan ahead and flowers and wine for the festive season were the themes chosen for last Friday's gala fundraiser organised by Castlelyons Home and Garden Club.
This progressive group had the local community centre beautifully decorated for the occasion and their excellent promotion of the event was rewarded with a fine crowd.
Neighbouring flower/gardening clubs turned out in force for what proved to be an informative and entertaining evening.
