Plenty of entertainment on offer over the bank holiday weekend locally, with festival fever in full swing for many communities. Thankfully, the weather obliged in the main as young and old took to the streets and community grounds to make the most of the final bank holiday of the summer.

Fr. Ferris Park hosted ‘Picnic In The Park’ a family fun day that comprised part of Castlelyons Carnival 2018.

The village of Conna was in celebratory mode as it hosted a community orientated street fair, with a variety of entertainment options were laid on.

Those behind this year’s community festival in Ballysaggart packed a lot into last weekend’s festival, and ‘Lovely Girls’ contest certainly had many a head turning.

Clogheen’s Vee Valley Festival saw many varied attrractions on offer for patrons, including National Sheep Racing. While the fancy dress parade in Kilworth saw the annual festival get off to a great start, with the village thronged as young and old strutted their stuff.
