Locals are being encouraged to get together with neighbours, share food and enjoy conversation and camaraderie this summer as ‘Street Feast’ in Fermoy and surrounds approach.
Across the country, people have been having ‘street feasts’ for the last 14 years, with events in Fermoy and surrounds getting underway this year on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26.
In the past, there have been feasts organised in front gardens, on streets and greens, in car parks, laneways, driveways, local parks and community centres. All it takes is for you and your neighbours to get together, share some food, have the chats and craic. The format is up to you.
