Transition Year student John Flynn from Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy was honoured earlier this week at the NewsBrands Ireland Press Pass student journalism awards for his opinion piece on Scouting.
John who is from Kilworth received high praise at the awards ceremony for his writing.
John was selected from over 10,000 Transition Year students who took part in the 7th annual NewsBrands Ireland Press Pass initiative which is a significant achievement.
