The 3rd annual Fermoy Rose Festival will be held next month, from Friday, July 8th to Sunday, July 10th. This year, the beneficiary of the fundraising event is the St Joseph’s National School Autism Unit.

Businesses in the town are now encouraged to enter their Roses ahead of the festival by contacting Kevin Corcoran of TJ Goodtyme’s.

All Rose entires need to be submitted before Friday, July 1st and all clubs and businesses in the town are encouraged to enter a Rose.

Remember, the winning Rose will qualify to participate in the Cork heat of the Rose of Tralee event – a great incentive in itself!

KICK-OFF FRIDAY, JULY 8TH

The eagerly anticipated festival will be launched on Friday night, July 8th, with a parade through the town being held on Sunday 10th at 2pm.

Vintage vehicles are welcome to participate in the parade, which will be led out by the Thomas Kent Pipe Band.

A cannonball run will be held on Kevin Barry Hill at 7pm on Sunday. Balls are on sale for €5, with a top prize giveaway of €300 for 1st, €200 for 2nd and €100 for third – something sure to generate much interest.

ROSE GRAND FINAL

The grand final to choose the Fermoy Rose for 2016 will be held in TJ Goodtyme’s that Sunday night.

More details to follow in the coming weeks.
