Fermoy Musical Society is delighted to announce that their annual Autumn show will be ‘The Music Man’ with music/lyrics by Meredith Wilson.

Fermoy Musical Society is delighted to announce that their annual Autumn show will be ‘The Music Man’ with music/lyrics by Meredith Wilson.

The show has been pencilled in to run at Fermoy Community Youth Centre from Nov 1–8 under the direction of Killian Collins with Deirdre Long as musical director and Stephen Cullinane-O’Regan as choreographer.

AUDITIONS

This is an excellent opportunity for young performers from Fermoy and the surrounding areas and we are looking to cast a number of young boys and girls in various parts,” Killian told The Avondhu.

Successful candidates will have the chance to work with some of the finest talent in the area and perform in this classic, fun filled musical.

The show will run for a total of 7 performances and the casting workshop will run from 2-4pm on this Saturday, 19th July at Fermoy Community Youth Centre.

AUDITION INFORMATION

Casting for children’s ensemble and a n umber of children’s featured roles. Candidates, who should be aged between 7 and 13, must attend the full two-hour workshop and will be expected to sing, dance and act.

Please prepare a 30-second speech in the form of amonologue, poem, nursery rhyme, spoken song, prose extract, etc., and an American accent is preferable.

Girls should note that piano experience is advantageous but not essential.
