Amberley Nursing Home have benefited from the construction talents of the Fermoy Men’s Shed, as they produced impressive bird tables for the grounds of the Home.

The Men’s Shed were delighted to receive a donation from Amberley Nursing Home following their commission to make the bird tables.

Eileen Kirwan, Director of Nursing, said the residents are delighted with the bird tables and are busy feeding the visiting birds, although one resident said she wished some of the crows would fly away!

Residents commented that it is always nice to be able to get closer to nature and enjoy the outdoors where possible.

On the day, the Men’s Shed enjoyed meeting some of the residents and staff, along with a nice cup of tea and homemade desserts.
