An appeal is being made for sponsorship of timber for a project by the Men’s Shed in Fermoy. The appeal comes from former town councillor and local community activist, William Hughes.

The Men’s Shed recently constructed seating for the green area in Wolfe Tone Park and he now wants them to do the same for Kilcrumper cemetery. Because of the Men’s Shed’s limited resources, the lumber would need to be donated.  “It’d be nice for people to have someplace to sit and reflect when they visit the graveyard,” William said.

He’s hoping the council will support the initiative.
