Fermoy Golf Club has been based in Corrin for the last 50 years – prior to that, it operated from a site close to the old aerodrome in Fermoy.
The move in 1972 was a significant one, as it necessitated creation of a new course and the building of a clubhouse. Half a century later, Fermoy Golf Club is still improving facilities, as it caters for a large and active membership.
Determined not to let their Golden Jubilee go unmarked, officials hosted a special day of celebration at the club last Saturday.
The event was a great success with members past and present turning out in force for the festivities….
