Fermoy family’s dream home nightmare

“I know we live in the town, fair enough, but I didn’t think the town would come in the back window to me,” said Kieran Cusack, as he stood in the kitchen of his home on College Road, which once looked out onto a field and now faces several new-build houses, which encircle and overlook his family’s home.

Kieran Cusack and Louise Barry Cusack moved from Glanworth to Fermoy seven years ago, completely renovating an uninhabited bungalow in the hopes of finding their forever home.

“When we bought this place, it wasn’t liveable and we did the whole place up,”  Louise explained to The Avondhu.
