The financial accounts of Fermoy Credit Union Limited have been approved by the Central Bank.

The Credit Union will hold its 48th annual general meeting in Fermoy Community Youth Centre at 8pm on Tuesday, December 17. Annual reports will be circulated to members in the coming weeks.

CEO Martina Cotter this week encouraged members to attend the AGM to ensure they are fully informed and enabled to take part in the policy making of Fermoy Credit Union.

At the meeting, members can and should ask questions about the day-to-day running and strategic direction of their Credit Union; study the accounts and most importantly, either put themselves up for election or carry out their democratic responsibility by electing suitable board members.

Martina also advises that the Nominations Committee are seeking volunteers for the Board of Directors and sub-committees of the Board.

Applications should be submitted to the credit union on or before Friday, December 6. Applicants should note that fitness and probity as set out by the Central Bank applies to candidates to the Board.
