The Fermoy Christmas Lights Committee have been as busy as elves over the last few weeks, collecting donations within the town and have announced that the first of the Christmas lights will be erected in the coming week.

The recent appeal to ensure Fermoy once again sparkles with festive cheers this year has been met with huge positivity in the town, organisers say, and the committee have extended their thanks to all the businesses who have been generous with their contributions.

Last year the town enjoyed one of its best Christmas lights displays to date, providing a fantastic atmosphere over the festive season, largely thanks to Fermoy Credit Union – who provided €27,000 for the purchase of new lights in the town.
