Congratulations to Galtee Foxhounds on organising a brilliant event last Sunday, a great turn out of 91 horses participated, on what was predicted to be terrible wet and windy day.

The Happy Hack catered for all ages and the young riders especially had a ball going throught flat, mountain and wooded areas, and for some it was there first time taking part in a Fun Ride. Many thanks to our committee members and friends who helped cater on the day. There are some great photos on our Kilbehenny Community Centre 2016 Facebook page of the event.

Well done to our neighbours Skeheenarinky on organising a great Gala Day last Sunday and we hope that Anglesboro will get a fine weekend shortly to run their event. We are all looking forward to the Donkey Derby.

Tarmacadam works are commencing shortly and some ground works in and around the community centre are being undertook at present. This job is a big venture and thanks to the community we will have a beautiful completed layout and parking facility etc in the next few weeks.

Most classes and courses have started back in the hall this September, and there is a wide variety of classes to keep you going  – Yoga, Zumba, Keep Fit with Johnny, Line Dancing, Tai Chi, Social Dancing and much more.

Tidy Villages committee will be meeting up shortly eagerly awaiting Tidy Village results this year. A big thank you to Mattie O’Brien for his craftsmanship and donating two of the most relaxing looking seats at Murphy’s Site, it really completes the area, which is now a beautiful focus point for the village.

Also Well done to Galtee Gaels U14s on their win last Sunday.
