Fanah Fest an interesting brew of beer and music

Beer and music were around in St Fanahan’s time, so we assume he would have approved of these being the key ingredients in the inaugural, Fanah Fest – a festival in Mitchelstown last weekend to mark the saint’s feast day.

Much of the festival’s focus was on the Eight Degrees Brewery in Coolnanave – the nerve centre of Mitchelstown’s burgeoning brewing industry.

The brainchild of business partners, Scott Baigent and Cameron Wallace, this venture has been a spectacular success for these serial entrepreneurs.

Individuals who think nothing of working a 13 or 14-hour day, they are passionate about a product(s) that are slowly but surely making their way around the world.
