Plenty more this weekend at Kilworth Festival
A very enjoyable and successful event took place recently in The Ramble Inn, Mitchelstown. I attended this event and can vouch for the fact that patrons were brilliantly entertained.
In the interests of clarity, we've been asked to point out that while there was a fundraising dimension to the night, the primary focus was the launch of the Flamingstar Official Elvis Presley Fan Club Ireland - a non profit organisation that has been formally registered by Graceland Enterprises.
This voluntary club's president is Claire O'Brien, vice president is Joe O'Brien and the secretary/treasurer is Adrian Thornton. These individuals would love to hear from people interested in joining this official fan club - the e-mail address is flamingstarfan@outlook.com
As part of the launch it was decided to assist a charity and as a result 'Katie's Dream To Walk' was nominated. Katie's family were delighted with this gesture.
Flamingstar Official Elvis Presley Fan Club Ireland take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended and supported the launch. They particularly want to thank the excellent entertainers and also John Carey and his staff in The Ramble Inn for doing such a great job. The total raised on the night was €1,250.
We also wish to point out Alison Keane (Burncourt) is one of the organisers of the 'Katie's Dream To Walk' campaign and was not involved other than as a supporter of the recent Elvis night in The Ramble Inn, as could be inferred from the photo caption in last week's coverage of the event, when pictured with Katie's parents, Robert Byrne and Antoinette McLoughlin and Gillian Gould.
