For the 'first-timers', it is probably not as big a leap as it was for those of us who were around before the pre-school era as they will have had some experience of the daily routine and will have made some friends along the way.

Thankfully, for a number of schools in The Avondhu catchment area, the prefab days are over and they are now enjoying state-of-the-art facilities in their new schools.

Others however, have not been so lucky and for teachers and students to be told 'you have adequate accommodation' when clearly they have not, must be both a disappointment and a disincentive.

Hence the lobbying has to continue as does the fundraising efforts of the various parents' associations to keep the ship afloat while Government Department continue with their various cuts!
