
There was a touching send-off at Coláiste Fionnchua last Friday, as three long-serving members of staff had their retirement from the Mitchelstown secondary school marked.
Dominic O’Sullivan, Margaret O’Sullivan and Jim O’Brien were bade a final farewell as the school year comes to a close, bringing an end to 65 years of teaching service. Staff and students lined the corridors, with the retiring staff members departing to ovations as they walked through the school corridors for one final time, creating a heartfelt final moment for the trio, who have each played an important role in the day-to-day life of the school.
