Eleanor & co transform Glannagear Wood in Killavullen

As spring takes hold having passed St. Patrick’s Day and the promise of a great summer lies ahead, the hiking trails of the Blackwater Way (Avondhu) – shortened here for ease as the BWA – are coming to life.

In just a few weeks, vibrant green hues will spread across the landscape, enhancing the beauty of this 110 km-long trail that stretches from Clogheen in Co. Tipperary to Bweeng, south of Mallow. 

Over the past few months, a dedicated trio – Eleanor Richardson, Don Kelly and Len – have been hard at work enhancing the trail at Glannagear Wood in Killavullen. Their work has significantly improved this stunning woodland trail, making it more accessible and enjoyable for hikers.
