The luck was in for 44 year old Andras Kovari from Brigown, Mitchelstown when he won prizes to the value of €64,000 in Saturday night’s Winning Streak TV gameshow – the last one of the season.

Andras is originally from Hungary but has been living in Mitchelstown with his wife and two children for nine years.

Andras moved to Ireland in 2007 and has worked as a farmhand on a local pig farm since then. His wife, Christina and their two children – Palma (17) Csanad (10) followed him over a few months after his move and they have lived in locally ever since.

Andras doesn’t have much spare time but when he does he enjoys spending it with his children and walking his German Shepard, Mya.

Andras had been hoping to put a deposit on a house with any winnings he might get, so his dream came true for him and his family on Saturday night.

Andras’ children and some neighbours and friends were in the Winning Streak audience supporting him last weekend.
