A one million euro increase in the Fermoy Municipal District Budget for 2019 was announced at the budget meeting held in Fermoy Town Hall on Friday last.
Municipal District Officer Pauline Moriarty, said that a lot of the €1 million increase relates to the 5 new staff which have been employed in the MD.
“Their wages are included in this budget,” she explained.
NEW STAFF
The embargo on outdoor staff recruitment was lifted by Cork County Council in 2018 and so, 5 full-time outdoor staff have been employed in the MD in recent months.
