Two pupils at Bishop Murphy Memorial School in Fermoy were part of the Cork teams that claimed the Munster Primary Schools Championship, held in Tipperary at the end of 2014.

Fifth class pupil Owen Hegarty was part of the A team that beat home side Tipperary in the final, on a scoreline of 86 points to 67. The B team, featuring fourth class pupil Hayden Supple, took the honours after they too topped their group, before overcoming Clare in the final.

Both boys train under the expert tutelage of their coaches at Fermoy Handball Club. Well done to both Owen and Hayden and continued success.
