A benefit dance, a fundraiser for baby Michael Butler who suffers with a rare disorder, will be held in the Millenium Centre, Caherconlish, Co Limerick on Sunday, January 18 with music by Dermot Lyons.

Dancing will be from 3 to 6pm in the afternoon and there will be lots of spot prizes on offer.

Two year old Michael suffers from a rare genetic condition, Neuro Transmitter Disorder, which means he has no control over his muscles. We understand that Michael is the only child in Ireland with this condition (there are 6 in Great Britain) and he needs 24 hour care 7 days a week.

His condition also means he has to travel to the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, part of the reason for the need to fundraise.

Tickets for the dance are just €10 at the door or for those who would like to pre-book or simply support the fund, please call Michelle Cooke from Mitchelstown on 087-7602572.
