The north Cork village of Kildorrery has come up with its very own international food fair. With a variety of nationalities relocating to Ireland in recent years, the fair has no trouble in assembling chefs from across the globe.
This year, organisers had representatives from Ireland, Lithuania, Korea, Portugal, Thailand, Latvia, Japan, Venezuela, New Zealand, Ecuador and appropriately enough ‘Hungary’.
While the event isn’t competitive, this doesn’t stop participants going all out to impress.
In most instances, the raw material is fish, fowl or meat, but the end results vary greatly and every nation has that ‘special ingredient’ that gives their dish a signature taste.
