
Households and farms in Curraghgorm, Mitchelstown, have endured severe water restrictions for what we understand to be close to three weeks, with some homes receiving supplies for only a handful of hours a day.
The area is supplied by the Knockanevin reservoir and Curraghgorm is among the several communities affected by night-time water conservation measures during the recent spell of hot and dry weather.
Some residents are allegedly going without water entirely during the day, whilst farmers are struggling to preserve adequate supplies for their livestock.
