Crying ‘foul’ in west Waterford

When it comes to dog fouling, the public need to be educated. That’s the official line.

Acting on this, a Waterford County Council sponsored anti-dog fouling campaign was launched in Ballyduff last Friday morning.

Speaking at the launch, Cllr Pratt said that only a small percentage of dog owners acted irresponsibly. 

“The vast majority of dog owners are civic minded and it’s important to make that point. However, as a public representative, I’m only too well aware of the problem that dog fouling causes … the message is simple … Bag it & Bin it. We won’t stand for it anymore,” he said.
